Plugged it in, no problems. I've been using it for months now without decrease in capacity, which is maybe a touch less than the original. (About 4 hours)
I've been using the battery for about a week and am seeing an average increase of about one and a half to two hours of life over the standard capacity battery. This product is better than advertised as it is an OEM Sony battery which retails for more than double the price than I paid.
Make sure this is the battery your laptop is compatible with, it is perfectly compatible with mine and it works as well as the one that came with my computer. Long life, no problems whatsoever.
The case is aluminum and holds a 4 hour charge! Just calibrate it and it will do the rest I bought 2 for less than one of the original ones!
