My old battery couldn't hold a charge for more than 15 or 20 min, so I tried this one as a replacement. When unplug my laptop I continue to keep the brightness up high on my screen...so I don't go easy on batteries. This battery consistantly lasts in the 2 hour range before needing plugged in again.

I put off this purchase for a long time because I wanted to order from someone reliable and trustworthy. Batterycentury sent me the battery I ordered. It fit, it is working great and I have no complaints. That is unusual for me

This battery is amazing. The increased battery life would last you through nearly any trip. Depending on what I'm doing, I'm getting about 5 hours of battery life out of it.

Acer battery TravelMate 290 problem;
- Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
- Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.
- Plug the power supply into the
laptop and wait till it reaches 100% and stop charging..
- Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
- Reconect the power supply and let the laptop charge complely again, then go back into the Acer 290 Battery power settings and resume the previous settings.
