Gave my Dell laptop 2+ hours of battery time when the old battery used to die in 30 min. This is exactly the same size as the original battery and does not protrude out of the laptop.
If your thinking about getting this, do it. You wont regret it. It gave me an extra 1hr and a half, so I now have 3 and a 1/2 hrs of bat time. when I go on trips I bring along the 2hr bat that came with the comp and when the one gets low I power down switch them and presto, 5 and 1/2 hours of bat time!
This has more power then my Dell brand, works great, got it fast, couldn't ask for more.
