It looks exactly like the Dell original, it even has the little LED power meter on it like the original. Fit into the laptop exactly like the original. The battery meter in the OS desktop also works just fine. I used it plugged in for about an hour last night, it didn't run hot or anything strange like that - cool as a cucumber!

i would recommend this battery..a full charge last about 4 hours, depending on your computer usage, i.e. surfing the internet, playing games, etc.

this migth fix your problem;

Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.

Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
