I have had this battery for about 2 months and am impressed with the duration of its charge. I can work on battery power much longer than with the original battery. So far no problems, but then again it has only been 2 months. So far so good.

The extended capacity is definitely worth the cost/weight if you ask me. Also the extra lift produced by the additional cells on the bottom provide a much more comfortable typing angle and help with air-flow, keeping the machine cooler which will also extending the life of the battery and internal components. All in all.. amazing! Get one.
HP 530 Battery Use guide
In order to better play the superior performance of batteries, please follow the guidance:
- Please select the same model or a model of manufacturer specified ac adapter.
- Please exhaust all the battery power until the computer prompts the state of power 0%,Replacement battery to fully activate the lithium-ion cell.
- Run out before charging, when notebook prompted low-power then charge the laptop battery. (If you use half of the charge, that will make it shortened the life expectancy of the HP 530 Battery , the battery not use should be maintained full capacity because the battery self-discharge is small, in 3 to 5 days time, only 1% of its self-discharge).

Why your HP 530 Battery light flashing?
this migth fix your problem;
- Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
- Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.
- Plug the power supply into the
laptop and wait till it reaches 100% and stop charging..
- Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
- Reconect the power supply and let the laptop charge complely again, then go back into the HP 530 laptop battery power settings and resume the previous settings.
