After replacing my old battery with this one, I'm back at 5 hours again. At the time I purchased it, I believe it was at least $50 cheaper than a new battery straight from Lenovo, so this was money well spent.

I was a little wary about purchasing this, but I was not disappointed at all. It lasts about 3 hours with full use of the computer with about 6 programs open simultaneously, and have had no problems with it.

this migth fix your problem;

Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.
Plug the power supply into the laptop and wait till it reaches 100% and stop charging..
Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
Reconect the power supply and let the laptop charge complely again, then go back into the IBM ThinkPad T43P laptop battery power settings and resume the previous settings.
