February 1 news, at the recent International Consumer Electronics Show CES2012, many brands released impressive performance smart TV. As an industry leader, when will Apple TV be released is still a mystery. Recent news shows that Apple will soon release support Siri features 42-inch TV, voice control is one of its biggest selling point.
More details that this TV uses OLED panel, or to model a variety of screen sizes to choose from, up to 42 inches, compared to 50-inch is now frequently a number of smaller competitors. But it does not matter, Apple’s design and content has always been good to impress the user. It is reported that this TV looks very thin, and with iPad, iPhone, iTouch and other devices linked and, if so, it is most likely to act as a TV remote control.
Not long ago, news said that Apple began to force pay TV business model. Some years ago, Apple and Disney had teamed up to launch video download service, it is the player have an iPod, and now the iPad display is quite different. To enter the television market, the terminal is a key piece, and the iTunes business model or similar.
Note: These are only for Dell notebooks
1. Processor speed – Enabling features such as Intel SpeedStep?or AMD PowerNow!?extends battery life by automatically adjusting the processor speed to meet system demands. These features are typically enabled by default on computers that support them.
2. CD, DVD, CD-RW and hard drive access frequency – Moving files and programs directly to the hard drive, when possible, reduces the number of devices requiring battery power. Adding more memory can also help by reducing the need to use a swap file on the hard drive.
3. Programs – Running only the programs that are necessary reduces demands on the system processor and memory. Programs that cause intensive use of the processor and drives (such as playing a DVD movie or 3D games) can more than halve the amount of time that the computer can be used on battery power.
Optimizing battery life helps you get the most out of battery operation, prolonging the charge/recharge cycle and improving recharging efficiency. You are advised to follow the suggestions set out below:
- Purchase an extra battery pack.
- Use AC power whenever possible, reserving your battery for on-the-go use.
- Eject a PC card if it is not being used, as it will continue to draw power.
- Store the battery pack in a cool, dry place. The recommended temperature is 10°C to 30°C. Higher temperatures cause the battery to self-discharge faster.
- Excessive recharging decreases the battery life.
- Look after your AC adapter and battery.
Other power saving tips
Decrease LCD brightness – The LCD panel assembly contains a fluorescent lamp which illuminates the LCD screen. This fluorescent lamp consumes a substantial amount of power. Therefore, decreasing LCD brightness helps preserve battery power.
Turn power off to Serial device if it is not in use. The serial port and IR can both be turned off in ThinkPad Features.
Buy an extended life battery. Extended life batteries are available for most systems designed for longer battery life.
The rate at which you use battery power will determine how long you can use the battery of your ThinkPad computer between charges. Because each computer user has different habits and needs, it is difficult to predict how long a battery charge will last. There are two main factors:
- How much energy is stored in the battery when you begin to work.
- The way you use your computer: how often you access the hard disk, how bright you make the computer display.
Note: The Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack will become warm when charging. This is normal operation and is a result of the chemistry of the battery. The battery pack has a circuit inside of it that will discontinue charging if the battery pack exceeds its normal thermal range. So, if the battery pack is charging to completion which is indicated by 100 percent capacity on the battery meter, the battery should not be replaced for temperature concerns.
