4. Turn on Auto Brightness – Go to Settings -> Sound & display -> Brightness. Slide the brightness switch to the left to lower it or check the “Automatic brightness” box.
5. Turn off phone vibratation – wikiHow suggests you go to Settings -> Sound & display -> Phone vibrate, uncheck the box next to”Phone Vibrate. The vibration uses power every time it use. In settings you can also shut-off the haptic feedback, if you don’t like it.
6. Turn off Live Wallpaper – tap the menu button, then tap wall paper and select a wallpaper that is simple, darker and not a “Live Wallpaper.”
7. Advanced Android an’ Dorid Battery-Saving Setting Changes for Advanced Users – The Following Battery Saving Tips, We suggest you only use if you are advanced user.
1. Add Power Control Widget (Android) – eHow suggests you go to menu, add, widgets and “Power Control”. This widget shows you what features are draining your dear battery. This widget makes it easy to shut off Wi-Fi and bluetooth, as well as syncing. Tapping the screen icon, dims the screen to very low brightness.
2. Check Battery Use in Settings – From the Menu -> Settings, go to “About Phone”, scroll and tap “Battery” status and level, then Battery use, it will show what is using what power so that you can mange power. The Display on our Droid Incredible was at 9% power until after we changed the Display settings then it went down to 2%.
3. Set screen time-out to short – from Settings-> Sound & Display -> Screen Timeout, set the screen time-out to the lowest setting you can handle. We found that 15 seconds was too short a time for us, you play with the setting to find a short setting you like.
7. Turn off Bluetooth – Settings > General > Bluetooth > Off.
8. Turn off the music equalizer (EQ) – While this may show an improvement in the sound quality of your music, it also reduces battery life. If you do not care for the EQ much, switch it off. Settings>ipod>EQ>Off.

10. Use Airplane mode more often – When in low or no coverage areas, switch Airplane mode on to conserve battery. Also when you don’t need the phone for calls etc., switch it on.
4. Set the Auto-Lock period to 1 minute – Change this under Settings > General > Auto-lock. This will prevent you from leaving your iPhone on for longer than necessary.
5. Set Push to Off, and Set Fetch Time – Push will “push” your emails to you rather than you having to manually check when you receive an email. This saves battery, so if there is no problem manually checking your mail, turn this off. Also turn Fetch off if you don’t need it, Fetch will synchronizecalendar, contacts and emails. Find this in Settings > Fetch New Data.
6. Turn off “Location Services” – Some apps may require the use of Location Services, but If it is not important to you, switch it off.
1. Dim the Screen brightness – Below halfway saves a significant amount of battery. I find that the below half setting is actually easier to see in direct sunlight and much easier to read in dim conditions. Change this by going to Settings > Brightness.
2. WiFi OFF, Scanning OFF – If you are not using WiFi turn it off. Also turn WiFi scanning off if you don’t need to search for connections. If, for instance, you use WiFi mostly at work or at home.
3. Toggle off 3G until needed – If you are in an area with no 3G coverage, turn it off. Pockets of Edge only coverage are still fairly common on AT&T and the radio uses up a lot of juice searching for a 3G signal.
