Purchsed this battery to have an extra one while travelling and it's fantastic. Had the battery that came with the laptop for almost two years and it is still going strong. I prefered paying for a branded battery as recommended since I don't trust all the generic once out there. I rather pay a little bit more.

Exactly what I ordered! If you're looking for something small, use the battery that the computer comes with. If you're looking for an extended runtime, this is what you want!

- Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
- Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.
- Plug the power supply into the
laptop and wait till it reaches 100% and stop charging..
- Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
- Reconect the power supply and let the laptop charge complely again, then go back into the Sony VGP-BPS2C Battery power settings and resume the previous settings.
