I got this battery last week and it is working great. I had Sony's extra capacity battery and in less than 2 years, it wasn't holding a charge. Could not bear to pay their extreme price, so I went with this alternative and I am very happy. Had a small problem at first, as the battery would not charge properly on my external charger, but after using the battery on my laptop, it now works fine on the external charger as well. Not sure why I had the problem, but I am very happy with this battery at a fraction of Sony's price.

Just popped it in and it worked. Battery lasts a long time, what more do you need?

I ordered this as a supplement to original battery for my laptop. The old one was only lasting about 1 hours; this one about 3, which allows me to use it on a long plane trip. So far, works great and price was reasonable.

I have had this battery for about 2 months and am impressed with the duration of its charge. I can work on battery power much longer than with the original battery. So far no problems, but then again it has only been 2 months. So far so good.

Sony battery VGP-BPS8 problem;
- Go to your power settings by right clicking on the desktop and select Properties> click the Screen Saver tab> click Power.
- Under Power schemes select select all of the choices to never.
- Plug the power supply into the
laptop and wait till it reaches 100% and stop charging..
- Disconnect the power supply and let the laptop discharge completly untill it heibernates.
- Reconect the power supply and let the laptop charge complely again, then go back into the Sony VGP-BPS8 Battery power settings and resume the previous settings.
